There is never a choice to “install zip from sd card”. The instructions also don’t mention that going into recovery mode requires two power downs and restarts – one to wipe (after which there are no options), and another to get back and at that point there are four icons, the meaning of which is not shown. I tried all four – “RCK” just reboots, “Android” just reboots, the third hangs, “WIPE DATA” is what has already been done. Perhaps I am misunderstanding something, perhaps things have changed, or something else is different. Regardless, I see no way to install new firmware using these instructions.
