Silent Hunter 5 Offline Play Crack
Now, before the moderators jump down my throat about asking if there is a way to play SH5 offline, take a breath first and read. We already know the DRM has been cracked on all the other Ubisoft infested DRM titles, ie. AC2, SPC, and so on. That is common knowledge. Furthermore, we all remember when Ubisoft told people to use a crack on Rainbow six in order to get it to work. And finally, when I was trying to play SH3 because I was disgusted by the DRM on SH5, I was trying to get my copy of SH3 to run on Window's 7, and I found a thread in the Ubisoft Forums that provided instructions on how to get it to run on Window's 7, which included applying a crack. The moderator in the thread said nothing about that and everyone was pleased that the instructions worked.

So all I'm really doing right now is asking the same kind of question. I want to get a game to work, but the DRM won't allow me, so I'm looking for instructions on how I might be able to do that. Clearly in the past, discussions of cracks and applying them to games have been allowed, and even encouraged by Ubisoft (rainbow six). So if you delete this thread, whatever, it just shows you are hypocrits. But if someone reads this, I'd just like to know if there is a way to play SH5 offline that works. If Ubisoft decides to continue with this failed experiment of DRM forever, I still may consider PURCHASING SH5, but I refuse to play it when Ubisoft says I can.
I have never stolen, nor will I ever steal a game. I have always paid for my games and I would be more than willing to pay for SH5, but I refuse to with the DRM. And I wasn't expecting a response from Ubisoft about playing SH5 offline, I was just hoping someone in the gaming community might have some information. Though you said I could steal it now, indicating that there must be a crack out there, unless you were just kidding.
But it's not only the pirates who make the DRM possible you know, it's also the people who bought the games with the DRM that make the DRM possible, because by doing so, you are saying to Ubisoft that you don't care if the DRM is there. Just a thought. It's widely known there's a crack for Ubisoft's DRM and they've admitted it somewhere, but it's still 'not allowed' to use it. I used to think they'd remove DRM like they did with SH3 after a while, but I'm starting to think they don't even care enough about SH5 to bother. Since this new OSP isn't really a 'Silent Hunter 5 DRM' progam, but more of a 'If we can't make money off second hand sales, then you'll all suffer, ' type program. Even though that makes no sense for a game like SH5.
The whole OSP thing was done to protect AC2 and other big name titles, SH5 just got screwed by happening to come out at the same time.
