To be very specific: The CPU GAME/CLOCK SPEED default setting is under clocking your PSP. The PSP is designed to run on 333/166, but it is put on default to save battery. So, in other words; If you don't mind wasting (minimal, in some cases) battery, then you can turn it on 333/166.
Keep in mind, that on the 333/166 setting, your PSP will run faster, and process things better, or for a lack of better words 'graphically enrich' your games. However, it won't work for your Internet Browser speed. I heavily recommended the Inferno ISO Driver. It has the most compatibility out of all of them. Sidenote: Strangely, GTA VCS Cheat Device wasn't running on my PSP Go, PRO B4, NP9660. I had to switch it to M33.
It worked, but I got tired of constantly switching, so I switched to (I was on TN-D at the time) 6.20 PRO B4. Just from experience. I spent last summer trying to hack my PSP. After trying a whole bunch of stuff, I found that the M33 driver is the most reliable.
You can try all the three of them and see which one works best for you. But my recommendation is to use the M33 driver. I have two PSP's.
I have a 2000 (slim) and a 3000 (brite). I have full CFW on my slim and a temporary hack on my brite. I've successfully played PS1 games and PSP games on both using the M33 driver and I haven't encountered any problems with them. I've also hacked a friend's 1000 (fat) and successfully played PS1 and PSP games with the M33 driver.
