Create Windows 7 Ghost image to use on all Computers Hi all This tutor is for complating my other tutor (Creat XP ghost image working on all computers). Hope will be some help for Dear users and hope we will see more exprements in tutorial page of great BootLand.

Notes: - 1.I have used windows 7 Ultimate v6.1 build 7600 for this tutor and installed it in 7.5GB virtual HDD.(Windows 7 needs at least 7.5GB space to work properly) 2.I love windows XP (specially sp2) and i have not worked by windows 7 very much and have little exprements by that.So in this exprement i just made some small customization and istalled few small programes befor syspreping it. 3.I made this tutor by virtual machine (VMWare) and then i applied the result ghost image to drive C: of my real computer,and it worked perfect. 4.Do not forget that when you get ghost image of a drive,you should restore that to a drive that is at least the same size of ghosted drive.if you use a drive smaller you may encounter by problems. Needs: 1.Installed windows 7 in drive C: 2.SPAT 6 1.Inside windows 7 that is installed in drive C:,Extact SPAT 6.0.exe to your desktop and run it.
2.For few seconds you will see a message '.testing system.,then if the system was as the SPAT wants,The main window of SPAT will be shown.(This windows shape is different from the same window when you use it in XP). 3.across main window you will see a message box as picture(A),OK it. 4.There are few options to select in different tabs of the main window,for first try do not select any option in any tab and just click on 'sysprep' button on general tab. 5.After less than a minute (in my test),it will do the work and will be closed. 6.Restart computer and boot by 3rd media and get ghost image of drive C.for this purpose i have integrated ghost32.exe v11 to my winbuilder LiveXP and booted by that. 7.I have made ghost bootable DVD that can automatically restor ghost inside DVD to Drive C: of computer. Thank you Shirin for this nice tutorial but i have a problem with SPAT my antivirus consider the program as severe (Win32/Killwifip.A) virus, what is the alternative to fix this problem? Hi Dear jamal 1.Thanks for all your topics,all are good and understandable tutors. 2.For your question i need to say some points to you and some other friends that reported the same problem to me by messages and posts: I do not know who has made this program. I have seen that in some none english sites,tried it and saw that it is very useful application,so i just shared my exprements to all. I checked the file by Antiviruses like Kaspersky,AVG and Avast and some others,they do not see that virus!!! But it is known as virus by some others like ClamWin antivirus.
I really do not know that it is virus or not,any way i can desid just for my self.I like it,i did not find any bad behaviors from that in the computers that i have used that (More than 50 computers). Dear jamal After seeing your notes i searched web pages for mor informations There are no information about the virus you mentioned unless: Kaspersky says not-a-virus:RiskTool and other tools and reports are talking about changes made by that in theme files that i can not accept that as being virus activation because the SPAT does some modifications in icons and themes of the system (That is author's favorite). No where is talking about problem caused by that and mostly they just think it is virus One more notes: - My exprements say that antiviruses are not right all the times!! For example i have made an small exe file in my unattended XP CD that any time i am in a hurry by clicking on it,it turns off the system rapidly.it is not VIRUS but some antiviruses for example AVG say it is virus.
It is good to accept antiviruses recommandations,but they are not right all the times shirin zaban. Thank you Shirin, yes I agree with you there are what they call False Positives, means sometimes anti-virus programs alerts for suspisious activities like you mentioned with that EXE file you've created to shut down your pc,any way I use Microsoft Security Essentials anti-virus, and in the options I made its behaviour so agressive, but if you do not see any wrong behaviour with SPAT in all the pc's you worked with then I have to ignore the anti-virus alert this time.thank you again for your wonderful tutorials and work. Yes,it works for windows 7 and I have tested that (i have tested bet 3 for making this tutorial). SPAT beta 5 is ok too,of course beta 5 is better and has fixed some bugs and also added some more options,for example you can select one of 3 modes of setup process. I mean you can select what kind of setup to have after restoring:mini setup,windows 7 like setup, or some thing like XP's normal setup (Of course for windows XP). Hope can be some help shirin zaban the 3 setups option was already there in beta 3 i guess, unless i am not mistaking.
